Welcome,

My name is Colette Safford, and I am running for Circuit Judge in Will County, ready to serve you with integrity and compassion.

Throughout my legal career, I have tirelessly fought for the rights and welfare of our most vulnerable populations: children in foster care and adults with disabilities. I've not only ensured they have access to safe environments where they can flourish, but have actively reunited families and guided children to forever homes, shaping a more secure future for all.

More About Me

My diverse and extensive legal background equips me to serve the residents of Will County with confidence. My legal career spans a wide array of areas, such as Criminal Law, Complex Litigation, Breach of Contract Claims, Real Estate Litigation, Local Government Law, Guardianship, Juvenile Rehabilitation, Personal Injury, Property Damage Claims, Construction and Contractor Claims, Lawsuit Defense, Administrative Law, and Appellate Practice. This comprehensive understanding of the law enables me to confront and solve the multifaceted challenges within our courts. I am not merely ready to bring my legal experience and hard work ethic to the bench; I am eager to do so. I will actively strive for justice that is fair, consistent, and compassionate for every member of our community. My commitment reaches beyond interpreting the law; I vow to champion safe neighborhoods, enforce personal accountability, and maintain trust and confidence in our judiciary system. I will serve as a judge for ALL, working with an unwavering commitment to treat every individual with the dignity and respect they deserve.

With your support, I will take these principles to the bench, dedicating myself to embodying the ideals of fairness and compassion that our justice system demands. Join me in forging a legal landscape in Will County that resonates with our shared values of safety, justice, equity, and community. Together, we will create a judiciary that actively listens, ardently cares, and ceaselessly strives for the betterment of all.
